Overview
Once enabled, AI can generate executive-style summaries and actionable next steps based on the data already shown in your dashboard.
Where AI is available
- System — snapshot + AI analysis
- Logs — explanations + suggested fixes
- Repository — commit summaries + impact notes
- Jira — progress, blockers, next steps
- Analytics (GA4) — trends + explanations

BYOK means: AI features run only after you add your own OpenAI API key. Usage and billing are controlled by your OpenAI account.
Configure
Step-by-step
- Go to All DashAI → Settings → AI.
- Enable AI.
- Paste your OpenAI API key.
- (Optional) Choose a language, (English by default).
- Click Save.
Official OpenAI links
- Create an API key:
platform.openai.com/api-keys - API documentation:
platform.openai.com/docs
How it works
When you trigger an AI action, the plugin builds a short, focused prompt from the data already available in your dashboard and sends it to the OpenAI API.
Typical outputs
- Executive bullet points (what changed, what matters)
- Risks and priority signals
- Actionable recommendations and next steps
Note: AI is not continuously monitoring your site. It runs only when you request insights.
Security & privacy
- Your OpenAI API key is stored encrypted in the WordPress database.
- Rotate or revoke keys if needed in your OpenAI dashboard.
Server requirement: your host must be able to reach platform.openai.com over HTTPS.
Troubleshooting
AI is not generating content
- Confirm AI is enabled and your API key is valid.
- Check outbound connectivity (DNS/firewall/outbound HTTPS).
- Ensure the related module has data (Repository/Jira/GA4) when required.
